Introduction  

The Learning Division manages and administers matters related to Islamic education in the Federal Territories at the secondary, primary and pre-school levels through 4 main institutional components which are the Federal Territory Islamic Affairs Council secondary schools, religious primary schools, Qur’an & Fardhu Ain Classes (KAFA) and Islamic kindergartens. 

Functions 

1.      Planning & managing affairs related to Islamic education though the management of religious primary schools, KAFA, Islamic kindergartens and Federal Territory Islamic Affairs Council secondary schools 

2.      Planning, supervising and managing curriculum & co-curriculum implementation and development in religious primary schools, KAFA, Islamic kindergartens and Federal Territory Islamic Affairs Council secondary schools in the Federal Territories

3.      Coordinating and standardising the implementation of development activities of human capital teachers and students through the teaching and learning process

4.      Planning, implementing and coordinating the monitoring and supervision activities in schools

5.      Coordinating and planning physical development, new teaching aids and infrastructure in schools
